WELCOME TO THE SMOKY MOUNTAIN BOUNDER WEBSITE

Our Smoky Mountain Bounder (SMB) Chapter of  Bounders of America (BOA) was chartered in March 1999.  We are one of the largest of 23 BOA chapters. All SMB members belong to BOA.  We also have one other important thing in common: We all own Bounder motorhomes manufactured by the Fleetwood Corporation.

Our 46 active regular members are primarily from the Southeast region of the United States, though we now have two members from Texas and three from Ontario, Canada.

We have at least three chapter rallies each year.   These rallies are primarily social gatherings, although when we are near a major attraction we usually include that as a group activity.  We enjoy socializing with one another, comparing notes on our Bounders, helping each other with minor repairs or alterations, playing cards, dominoes, and of course there is always plenty of good food.  The rallies are held in various campgrounds within a reasonable driving distance for the majority of our members.  Oh yes, we are well represented in the "Red Hat Society" and the ladies often go out on their own for a luncheon during the rally.

Many of us also travel to the BOA International (US & Canada) rallies held once or twice a year. In addition to the social gatherings, the Internationals provide great entertainment, a display of new Bounders, vendor booths with things we need for our travels, and very informative seminars covering a wide range of RV related topics.  The large BOA rallies are hosted by one or more chapters, and the SMBs are proud to have done the 2002 gathering in Lebanon, TN and the Fall 2005 rally in Troy, Alabama.  Both rallies were huge successes.  The 2005 rally was complicated by two powerful hurricanes that devastated the Gulf Coast causing fuel shortages and very high prices.

Please contact any SMB officer or member for additional information.  We will be delighted to answer your questions.  If you own a Bounder, we would like to have you join us, or at least introduce you to another BOA chapter if there is one closer to your home.
